The 70’s – Opportunities don’t happen. You create them.

In the early 1970s, Rogelio Arrieta, a visionary from Monterrey, saw a unique opportunity: to outfit baseball teams with high-quality uniforms.

In 1970, he made his dream a reality by taking out a loan to open his first factory. That marked the beginning of a journey in manufacturing sports uniforms for teams in Mexico’s Winter Leagues.

The first clients were:

  • Ostioneros de Guaymas

  • Yaquis de Obregón

  • Cañeros de Los Mochis

  • Algodoneros de Guasave

Thanks to exceptional service and product quality, more teams began joining in:

  • Naranjeros de Hermosillo

  • Venados de Mazatlán

At that point, Arrieta proudly served 100% of the Mexican Pacific League (LMP).

The 80’s – Building a Foundation

Rogelio Arrieta began envisioning fans proudly wearing their team’s jersey—a growing demand from passionate baseball followers.

He presented the idea to several teams, and within days, Naranjeros de Hermosillo, Tomateros de Culiacán, Águilas de Mexicali, and Cañeros de Los Mochis embraced the concept.

They became the first teams to sell official fan gear, launching Arrieta into large-scale production and transforming the market for licensed sports apparel.

The 90’s – Patience & Motivation

With competition rising, Arrieta lost a few clients from the baseball leagues.

Instead of backing down, Rogelio responded with innovation:

  • Hired fashion designers and more machine operators

  • Sourced the most advanced textiles suitable for baseball

  • Invested in new embroidery machines

  • Introduced laser-based production technology

The 2000’s – Faith

Clients returned, drawn by Arrieta’s improved quality and production capabilities.

Joaquín Arrieta, Rogelio’s son, became deeply inspired by his father’s company and began making calls to prospect clients, aiming to become the official uniform supplier for their teams.

At just 18 years old, Roberto Magdaleno from the Sultanes de Monterrey was the first to give him an opportunity.

The 2010’s – Family Work

With the full support of the Arrieta family, the company signed a contract with the Mexican Pacific League (LMP) to become its Official Uniform Supplier.

Arrieta also launched its online store, expanding its reach to fans nationwide.

To meet growing demand, Joaquín opened a second manufacturing facility—followed by a larger, consolidated production plant to centralize operations and streamline quality control.

In 2017, the brand introduced a bold new logo, reflecting a fresh, innovative identity.

The 2020’s – Welcome to the Caribbean

In 2020, Arrieta lost the LMP contract—but new doors opened.

They secured the contract to supply official uniforms for the Dominican Republic’s national team in the Caribbean Series, as well as for clubs like:

  • Estrellas Orientales

  • Gigantes del Cibao

  • Águilas Cibaeñas

  • Tigres del Licey

  • Team Dominican Republic (Caribbean Series)

CBPC – Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation

Arrieta signed an agreement to become the official merchandise provider for the Caribbean Series.

WBC – World Baseball Classic

An official agreement was signed to produce the Official Uniforms for Team Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic.

2021 – Welcome to the Caribbean (Again)

Arrieta expanded deeper into the Dominican Winter League (LIDOM), signing deals with:

  • Estrellas Orientales

  • Gigantes del Cibao

  • Águilas Cibaeñas

  • Tigres del Licey

With quality and competitive pricing, Arrieta strengthened its connection with fans, resulting in a 400% increase in sales compared to previous years.

The brand also began covering events in Miami and New York, providing team uniforms and merchandise for Caribbean matchups.
